Our story
Kenji Murakami started Grove Vault Zone in the spring of 2014 after twelve years working in corporate security for a logistics firm in Koto Ward. He had spent those years watching contracts go to the cheapest bidder, guards arrive at sites they had never seen, and incident reports that told management what they wanted to hear. When a warehouse fire in 2013 exposed just how thin the actual coverage was, he decided to do it differently. Grove Vault Zone opened with three guards, one patrol vehicle, and a single client in Shinonome.
The name came from a conversation with his father, who ran a small locksmith shop in Nerima for thirty years. The idea was simple: a grove is something that grows slowly and provides shelter; a vault is something you trust with what matters. The combination felt right for a security company that was not trying to be the biggest, just the most dependable. By 2017, the team had grown to twenty-two staff and the client list included two mid-size hotels in Shinjuku, a pharmaceutical distribution centre in Kawasaki, and a recurring contract for a summer outdoor concert series in Odaiba.
